meintantei conan is one of the great japanese successful anime that has run in long long time. It was created by gosho aoyama whose also created several other such as, magic kaito.
Right know as many of you know there is manga,anime series( up to 16th season),movies, and even live action movie.
The series It self has gotten many interisting character, so here is the list and the reason why.
10.Hiroshi agasa/Hershel agasa
he has been appeared since the genesis I mean the beginning of series . giving help to main protagonist shinichi kudo, that has been shrunk to his kid form. originally he is neighboor of shnichi kudo and has been friends with both mother and father of shinichi kudo. the notable things from him are his inventions (solar powered skateboard, power shoes, etc), and lame puzzle that he always ask. all of this makes me decided to put him on number 10.
9.the criminal/ han'nin
let me state it first before any of you make any assumption ,this guys is not spiderman symbiote. he is mysterious silhouette that use in every episode to hide the identity of the criminals. hence he always exist in all episode, and mostly he always the bad guy who is going to do something or main antagonist role though some times it is the protagonist of the stories. and he is also one of the character that ever parody in gintama series. with his frequent and important role I decided to put him on no 9 position.
8.Jodie Starling
One of FBI agent in disguise that has hunt for vemouth. when she was a kid vermouth kill her family, left her alone with phrase "A secret makes woman woman".This phrase is often mention by her in several occasion as a quote and her ways to always remember vermouth aside from the glasses. she also seems to support conan/shinichi.
7.shuichi akai
He is also One of The One of the FBI member. In the past Arc he he become spy by joining the organization, also become enemy of gin. After the death of his lover, he stated gin as his arch enemy and become a serious threat for organization. at the attack that done by the organization he was pretend to be dead. after his death event he live with conan and live in duisguise as subaru okiya to protect ai habara from the organization.
6. kogoro mouri
he is father of ran mouri the main heroine of the series, at beginning series he seems angry at shinichi who is popular in public as detective. after he gone missing he became that famous detective that solved cases by sleep talking. behind his popularity shinichi/conan is the one who always help him secretly plus prof agasa voice changer and a watch that shot drugs to make him sleep. his personality is close to Satan from dragonball series.
5.vermouth
She is one of the main member of the organization, the boss seems to put her as his favorite. she also seems be at her 20, the same age as when she kills jodie family.her role in the organization is to get rid of traitor. for some reason she also seems to be quite trained in both physically or other ability. her most notable ability is to disguise perfectly both body and voice. her ability to disguise was learn from touichi kuroba the father of current kaitokid. although she is member of organization she seems to protect shinichi in several occasion.
4.ai habara/sherry
the creator of aptx4689 that changes shinichi to kids, and important scientist at the organization sherry and all of her family is worked for the organization. but at the certain point she run away drinking aptx4689 and got shrinked into kid form. she ran to shinichi house and collapse there. but found by agasa who picked her up later and give her name ai habara. as kid who played with shinichi and other groups she seems tobe always cold , smart, and mean. but in several occassion she shows her true self such as crying and asking conan why didn't he save her sister. after some times she also to be more open up ad warm with the others, and somewhat develop feelings for conan/ shinichi.
3. ran mouri
main heroine of the series ran mouri.the notale things from her is she is strong,childhood friends of shinichi, and also her kindness. during her childhood she and shinichi helped vermouth once. since that time she called her angel and shinichi/conan as coolguy reason why I like her is because her kindess and she kinds off giving aura ,I'm going to wait you forever to shinichi kudo. in several occasion she also seems to has suspicion of conan true identity as shinichi kudo.
2.Shinichi kudo/Conan Edogawa
Our main protagonist that somewhat has has gone through complicated thing. at the beginning of the episode he got shrunk to his kid size by gin. eversince he live with ran and kogoro turning him into famous detective. during several occassion he often has contact or even fight with the member of organization. he also has a great deal of intelligence which help him solve cases. acroding to gosho aoyama shinichi kudo character was made from sherlock holmes character. and his name conan was taking from arthur conan doyle. his complicated relationship with organization, FBI, and people around him. plus his intelligence makes him worth to be put at my no 2 most favorite character mitantei conan.
AND MY MOST FAVORITE
1.kaito kuroba/ kaitou kid
The most charming and cool character all over the meitantei conan series kaitokid. before in this series he got his own series magic kaito by gosho aoyama. from that series thing that we can know is kaito kid was first created by his father. he found out his father secret room which led him to know hat his father is kaito kid. after that he continue his father role as kaito kid. it is also stated that he and the black organization both trying to find the pandora jewel. pandora jewel is a jewel that can bring someone back to his/her youth. and the only way to know if a jewel is by bringing it under the full moonlight. because of this reason kaito only steals during full moon, and it gives him nickname "magician of under the moonlight". other aliases that he got is "rupan heisei, last wizard of the century, magician of the silver sky, phantom thief kid, kaitou 1412". his kaito kid comes from the notes kaitou( theft) 1412 which 1412 read as kid. aside from his action he also stated to be ladiesman and very charming, hence many girls become his fan. groupies. in his real face he seems to has a lot of common feature with shinichi kudo. during of of the event of magician of silver sky , he met with ran as shinichi kudo to remove ran suspicion of conan identity. In short I'm gonna stated that he is one of character in movies / series that has more popularity and charm rather the main protagonist despite his little screeentime, makes him worth for no 1 position.

devoted and blindly in love woman is the phrase for describing her. she is the daughter of matsudaira ken the god of destruction. if you remember it she has been fall in love with two guys in this series, first is , lets just say mr x since I forgot his name. after that because the event where hijikata help her, she fall's in love with her. her strength points is to be able to like the things that his man likes. In her first date she say it;s okay even if the guys pee. in her date with hijikata she even show liking to hijikata specials. for this I guess I'm gonna put her in 19th
wind tribe alien that said has to keep feeling wind in order to stay alive. her first meeting with gintoki was when their bike/scooter crash. gintoki started helping her job as delivery, which is lead to another stupid delivery end up with both of them explode in the sky and making gintoki hair afro for few scenes. 
12.Chin Pirako
